Donald Farmer Joins ChoiceOne Bank as Commercial Lender

Sparta, MI (May 25, 2017) – ChoiceOne Bank recently announced the addition of Donald Farmer to the position of Vice President, Commercial Lender.

All necessary expertise for our growth strategies as we expand our community bank franchise.”

Farmer joins ChoiceOne Bank with more than 30 years of experience in commercial lending. His most recent position was Vice President, Commercial and Agricultural Lender with Chemical Bank in Fremont, Mich., where he was the regional lender for numerous counties in West Michigan for nearly seven years.

Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University, Farmer also has an impressive list of community leadership positions. Currently he is a Board Member of Newaygo County Economic Development Organization (NCEDO), since 2015 and a Member of Fremont Area Community Foundation Professional Advisors Committee, since 2014. He has also served in various roles over the years involving president, treasurer, board and committee member of many organizations including the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, Fremont Lions Club, Fremont Public Schools, Newago County Agricultural Fair Association, Newago County 4-H Council, and the Muskegon Chamber of Commerce.
