ChoiceOne Bank Announces Community Shred Days

ChoiceOne Bank (NASDAQ: COFS) (“ChoiceOne”) will host four Community Shred Days in 2021.

  • May 15 at the downtown Lapeer Office, located at 83 W. Nepessing St., Lapeer, MI 48446
  • May 22 at the Harvey Office, located at 5797 Harvey St., Muskegon, MI 49444
  • August 21 at the Kent City Office, located at 450 W. Muskegon St., Kent City, MI 49330
  • August 28, at the Capac Office, located at 206 North Main St., Capac, MI 48014

Each ChoiceOne Community Shred Day will run from 9 a.m. to noon, or until the truck is full, for people to drop off their shredding. Vehicles will line up with a drive-thru drop off point for items to be shred. This event is open to the entire community. You do not need to be a ChoiceOne customer to participate.

Paperwork is deposited into a special bin. Once the bin is full, it is lifted, and the contents are dropped into the mobile shredding truck. Each 96-gallon bin of paper takes less than three minutes to shred. It is not necessary to remove staples, paper clips or bindings – the truck will shred through them. Items that should not be included: compact discs, floppy disks, plastic bags, magazines, or newspapers. Please limit paperwork to be shredded to 5 banker’s boxes to help ensure everyone can take part in this service.

This is the 15th consecutive year the Bank has hosted Free Community Shred Days.
