ChoiceOne Financial Services, Inc., and ChoiceOne Bank (NASDAQ: COFS) (“ChoiceOne”) have launched the Change for Kids Campaign, a community initiative to support schools serving low-to-moderate income students and families across Michigan.
The campaign, which runs April 1 through May 31, invites customers and community members to donate spare change at any ChoiceOne branch location. All funds collected will be distributed to an estimated 39 partner schools, with checks presented in August.
“We’re excited to introduce the Change for Kids Campaign,” said ChoiceOne Vice President of Marketing Danielle Chateauvert. “It’s a simple way to make a meaningful difference for students in our communities. By donating spare change, our customers and neighbors can help provide essential resources and support where it’s needed most.”
Funds raised through the campaign will be combined and allocated to partner schools based on total donations. By focusing support on select schools, the program aims to maximize its impact for students and families facing financial challenges.
In the past, Change for Kids funding has helped schools create student care closets and school stores stocked with personal care items, purchased eyeglasses for students in need, and even provided beds to ensure children have a safe and comfortable place to sleep.
“No matter the amount, every donation helps remove barriers to learning and gives students the support they need to succeed,” Chateauvert added. “Together, we can turn spare change into real change for kids in our communities.”
Community members are encouraged to visit any ChoiceOne branch to contribute. For a list of locations, visit https://www.choiceone.bank/Locations.
