ChoiceOne Bank Promotes Elisabeth Almanza-Reyes, Thomas Bertschy, Jacqueline Bowser, Abigail Costello, Jessica Hord

ChoiceOne Financial Services, Inc., and ChoiceOne Bank (NASDAQ: COFS) (“ChoiceOne”) are pleased to announce the promotions of Elisabeth Almanza-Reyes, Thomas Bertschy, Jacqueline Bowser, Abigail Costello and Jessica Hord.

In addition, they each wholeheartedly support our mission to provide superior service, quality advice, and show utmost respect to everyone we meet.”

Elisabeth Almanza-Reyes, Community Development & CRA Officer – East Market

Elisabeth Almanza-Reyes accepted her promotion with over eight years of banking experience, including six years in ChoiceOne’s Accounting Department. With the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, Almanza-Reyes has acquired multiple skills that will greatly support the Investment Test of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).

Almanza-Reyes has a Bachelor of Business Administration with majors in Accounting and Finance and a minor in Spanish from Grand Valley State University, Allendale. She has contributed to several internal initiatives, including the Donation Committee, Wellness Committee, and various volunteer events.

Thomas Bertschy, Senior Vice President, Senior Lending Officer – Central Market

Thomas (Tom) Bertschy is promoted to Senior Vice President, Senior Lending Officer following 34 years of service. Bertschy began his career in 1991 as a Part-Time Teller at The State Bank, which merged with ChoiceOne Bank in March 2025. Over the years, he has held numerous key roles within the organization, including a transition to the Credit Servicing Group in 1993, appointment as Head of Human Resources in 1996, and a move into Commercial Lending in 2002. His experience across multiple departments has uniquely positioned him to lead lending efforts in the Central Market.

Bertschy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), majoring in Management, from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. He is a graduate of the Key Executive Bank Management Program at Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, and the Commercial Lending School through SMU Cox SW Graduate School of Banking in Dallas, Texas.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bertschy is an active community leader. He serves on the City of Fenton Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board, is a Treasurer and Past President of the Rotary Club of Fenton, and has been an Assistant Coach for the Fenton High School Varsity Softball Team. He also organizes the Folds of Honor Michigan Golf Outing, an event he has led for the past five years. Bertschy will join the Fenton/Linden Regional Chamber of Commerce Board in January 2026.

Abigail Costello, Consumer Collection Manager – East Market

Abby Costello accepted her new position with four years of experience working with ChoiceOne. She joined ChoiceOne in 2021 as a Mortgage Underwriter and moved to the Collections Department in 2022. Before joining ChoiceOne, Costello was the Office Manager at Athletico Physical Therapy in Royal Oak.

Costello has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wayne State University, Detroit. She is also a Certified Life Coach, accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Giving back to her community, Costello sits on the advisory board for the Michael Maga Foundation, Brighton.

Jessica Hord, Treasury Management Officer – East Market

Jessica Hord is promoted to Treasury Management Officer where she is primarily tasked with helping commercial clients establish their deposit accounts and set up their Treasury online banking products. Hord began her banking career at ChoiceOne as a part-time teller in 2021 and quickly advanced to a Universal Banker in 2022. In 2024, she progressed to Treasury Management Associate.

Hord is currently enrolled in the Perry School of Banking offered through the Michigan Bankers Association. She holds both Michigan NMLS and notary licenses. Active in her community she is an Autism advocate and Habitat for Humanity volunteer.

Jacqueline Bowser, Treasury Services Manager – West Market

Jackie Bowser is promoted to Treasury Services Manager with six years of banking experience, four of those years have been with ChoiceOne. Bowser started her career with ChoiceOne serving as a Customer Service Representative in 2021, promoted to Lead Customer Service Representative in 2022 and to Treasury Specialist in 2023. Prior to joining ChoiceOne, Bowser was a Branch Supervisor at a local financial institution. She was recently honored with the ChoiceOne 2025 BOSS Award honoring Back-Office Super Stars.

Bowser studied Nursing and Business at Grand Rapids Community College, Grand Rapids. She received her Michigan Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) License from Blue Heron Academy, Grand Rapids. Bowser is active in her community as a volunteer at Kids' Food Basket several times a year and participates in local parades and community events.
