ChoiceOne Bank Announces 2022 Community Shred Days

ChoiceOne Bank will host four Community Shred Days in 2022. These events are free to the public and will take place in the parking lot of these ChoiceOne Bank locations.

“We are pleased to offer this shredding service to our communities once again,” said ChoiceOne Bank President Michael J. Burke, Jr. “This is the 16th consecutive year the Bank has hosted Free Community Shred Days. It’s important for your security, to have confidential documents shredded or destroyed to protect your identity.”

Schedule – All events are from 9 a.m. to Noon, or until the trucks are full:

  • April 23, downtown Lapeer Office, 83 W. Nepessing St., Lapeer
  • September 17, Sparta Office, 109 E. Division
  • September 24, Imlay City Office, 1875 S. Cedar St., Imlay City
  • September 24, Fremont Office, 1423 W. Main St., Fremont

Bring your private information such as tax forms, statements and bills in bags and boxes. Paperwork is deposited into a special bin. Once the bin is full, it is lifted, and the contents are dropped into the mobile shredding truck. Each 96-gallon bin of paper takes less than three minutes to shred. It is not necessary to remove staples, paper clips or bindings – the truck will shred through them. Items you will need to remove include compact discs, floppy disks, plastic bags, magazines, and newspapers. Please limit paperwork to be shredded to five Bankers boxes to help ensure everyone can take part in this service.
