The HomeBoost Down Payment Assistance Program

The HomeBoost Down Payment Assistance Program offers up to $25,000 in down payment support to eligible first-generation, first-time homebuyers in Michigan. This program is designed to help families overcome financial barriers to homeownership by providing meaningful financial assistance toward the purchase of a primary residence in Michigan.

To qualify for HomeBoost assistance, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a first-generation, first-time homebuyer.
  • Purchase a primary residence in Michigan.
  • Have a household income at or below 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
  • Work with a participating Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBank Indianapolis) member financial institution.
  • Complete a pre-purchase homebuyer education course.
  • Contribute a minimum of $500 toward the home purchase transaction.

Available for a limited time. Additional eligibility requirements and restrictions may apply. Subject to credit approval.
