Kristy Schaffer

SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer

Meet Kristy Schaffer - Ms. Schaffer joined ChoiceOne Bank in March 2025 as Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President following the merger with The State Bank. With over 30 years of experience at The State Bank—more than 22 of those as Chief Human Resources Officer—Ms. Schaffer brings a deep well of knowledge in strategic HR leadership, organizational development, and talent management in the banking sector.

She holds an MBA in Human Resources Management and Services and is certified in Everything DiSC® Workplace, enhancing her ability to build collaborative and effective workplace cultures.

In addition to her professional role, Ms. Schaffer is deeply committed to community and industry service. She has served on the Board of the Fenton Education Foundation since 2015, currently holding the position of Vice Chair and acting as Chairperson of the Board Selection Committee. She also serves on the Human Resources Committee for the Michigan Bankers Association, where she is a past Chair and Vice Chair.
